Kijani and Kitwana Selected as Guests of Honor for Anthro Northwest 2019
Seattle, WA – February 6, 2019 – Kijani and Kitwana have been selected as the Anthropomorphic Character Performer Guests of Honor for Anthro Northwest 2019. Both lions have provided exceptional service to the fandom and the world around them by engaging in many charitable causes.
Kijani Lion is the founder of Emerald City Critters, a 501(c)(3) non‐profit charity performance group that volunteers at events such as the Seattle Walk to Defeat ALS, the Jingle Bell Run (Arthritis Foundation), and the Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer Society. Kijani is the lead organizer of Furlife Northwest, the world's biggest furry meetup group with over 3,250 members.
Kitwana Lion was introduced to the fandom by finding Kijani's YouTube channel online. Kitwana, has always been a huge fan of lions and fell in love with what he saw there. Soon thereafter, he procured a fursuit and started to volunteer all around Switzerland. Not even his special needs or reliance on a feeding tube stops him from performing for disabled kids and children with cancer, and at many other events around Switzerland. Like Kijani, Kitwana is well known for his extensive video offerings on YouTube.
Both individuals exemplify the many of the best attributes of the furry community. It is a special honor to have both of them here in Seattle at Anthro Northwest 2019. Both guests will be hosting panels, will be present at the Patron Sponsor Dinner and can be seen around the convention space — always available for a hug.
