COVID-19 resources for international travel
Both Canada and the United States have policies in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19 due to travel. Here are some resources that may be helpful if you are traveling for Anthro Northwest 4.
Returning to Canada
All travelers entering or returning to Canada must submit information to ArriveCAN prior to entry. Find out whether you can enter or return to Canada by stepping through the official questionnaire; additional requirements may apply.
All travelers 5 years of age or older who are entering Canada must additionally provide proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular test from within 72 hours before entry.
Here are some providers that offer free COVID-19 testing without requiring proof of United States citizenship:
You can also find nearby testing sites on the King County Public Health website. Note that the time it takes to get a result may vary and may not meet the 72-hour requirement; see the travel-related questions section of their testing FAQ for more information.
Policies for air travel
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) publishes guidelines for international travel to the United States. Please check for updates to these policies regularly to be aware of new or changed requirements.
Policies for the United States–Canada land border
Starting November 8, fully vaccinated persons will be able to enter the United States by land for non-essential travel. The specific Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidelines are not yet available at this time; please check for updates from the respective government websites.
